Awesome Location, Beautiful Condo... and Great Value to Boot!                   Rating: starstarstarstarstar 5 out of 5
After a *ton* of research, I came across the rental-by-owner listing for #807 at the Mana Kai Maui. And I do mean a *ton* of research. But after spending eleven days with my family of 4, I can say that the condo and the whole experience lived up to expectations. Can't thank the owner John J. enough for a wonderful experience in his beautiful condo. We have family vacation memories to last a lifetime (and probably this year's Christmas card picture to top it all off) - "Maui Christmas!"

A Truly Wonderful Holiday in Maui                                                                  Rating: starstarstarstarstar 5 out of 5
From the first time we e-mailed John to query renting his property he was helpful. He sent us a lovely Christmas card kept and in touch with us as our arrival date grew closer. He sent us so much information on what to do in Maui and where to eat. When we first opened the door of the condo it did not feel like a rental property at all it felt like home. The view from the balcony was breathtaking. It was very special to sit on the balcony have breakfast or dinner and watch the sunrise and the sunset. We have truly wonderful memories of our stay in this beautifully located condo. Thank you, John for such a beautiful place to stay, until our next visit, best wishes.

Best Unit at the Mana Kai                                                                                  Rating: starstarstarstarstar 5 out of 5
My family has been coming to the Mana Kai for over 20 years. John's unit-807- is the most beautiful we have stayed in! The furnishings are wonderful, the kitchen is updated and well-stocked with quality items, and the view is superb! We have already planned our next visit in 2012!

Perfect Condo in Maui                                                                                      Rating: starstarstarstarstar 5 out of 5
We stayed at condo #807 in April/May. We had the two bedroom, two bath unit. Both rooms were exceptionally clean. The unit was very well stocked with all kitchen necessities and both baths were very nice with plenty of towels. Cannot say enough how beautiful the view is, pictures couldn't do it justice. I still miss listening to those waves! The lobby and pool area is great and the beach is the best. We have stayed at other rooms at the Mana Kai many times along with other resorts in the area. This is definitely our favorite.

Glorious Views of Paradise                                                                              Rating: starstarstarstarstar 5 out of 5
The arrangements for arrival made it easy for our tired group. The owner sent instructions to us in advance and we walked right in even though we arrived very late. We were greeted by a lovely note along with a fruit basket. The condo is thoughtfully furnished, containing good quality kitchen equipment and plenty of it. This condo is located on the edge of Wailea which I consider the most beautiful part of the island unless you prefer the isolation of Hana. There are wonderful restaurants within walking distance and nearby shopping opportunities. We loved the view and the ability to watch whales from the lanai. I was pleasantly surprised by the laundry facilities which are just out the door of this unit. Not having a washer in the unit was the one reservation that I had. The laundry room was clean and handy and I never had to wait to use it. The front desk was able to answer whatever question we asked. The parking space reserved was the closest to the door to the building. There is a convenience store in the building that carries food and items you may have forgotten. The pool is nice and what a great beach! You can walk all the way down to the Kea Lani. The big hotels provide good places to stop in for breakfast as you walk. Traveling to the islands other attractions is easy from this location either by driving through Kihei or by quickly accessing the Pi’ilani Highway. This is an experience you won't want to miss.

Relaxing and Comfortable                                                                                Rating: starstarstarstarstar 5 out of 5
We have rented several condos in the Mani Kai Maui for the past 25 years. The Jonez condo on the top floor is the most beautiful, clean, comfortable condo we have ever rented. I already have reservations for 2011 and plan to return each year. The Mana Kai is a wonderful family oriented spot with a nice pool, swimming and snorkeling out front and one of the most popular beaches on the island. Long walks along the beach each morning are a must.  You will return year after year when you experience this wonderfully decorated condo.

Fantastic holiday in Mana Kai Maui                                                                  Rating: starstarstarstarstar 5 out of 5
We are a family of 5 people and stayed for two weeks in Mana Kai Maui in December 2009. The apartment functioned very well for us and we had excellent time there. The ocean view from the apartment is fantastic and it is possible to watch sunset from the lanai of Mana Kai Maui #807. The beach in front of the condo building is one of the best in south west Maui and you can see various fishes and even turtles when snorkeling there. There is also a high class restaurant in the ground floor of condo building.

Family Retreat                                                                                                  Rating: starstarstarstarstar 5 out of 5
John's Mana Kai Condo is the perfect place to relax and spend your vacation. My wife and I can spend time here anytime as we did for our 40th Anniversary or we can turn around and come back with our daughters, husbands and grandchildren. Everyone involved always asks, when are we going back? First is the setting, day or night the view and setting from the Lani is unbelievable. We spend a lot of time on the beach that has the best sand anywhere. Snorkeling with fish and turtles are right in front. Restaurants are outstanding but our most fun nights are right here on property. If you need groceries or restaurant services, it's on the property. The condo has been totally remodeled and is in first class condition. A normal day has everyone walking the beach in the morning, swimming/snorkeling in the afternoon and watching the beautiful sunsets in the evening. If you like to tour, the island has many beautiful trips right on the island. It is a very special place for us and our family that we want to come back to again and again.

Worth every penny, and then some!                                                                Rating: starstarstarstarstar 5 out of 5
We love Maui! A person in our party stayed in condo 807 one year with a bridal party; and highly recommended we look into condo 807 for our future travels to Maui. We did and have been enjoying the same condo unit for 4 plus years now. The view is unbeatable, the lanai is huge, the bedrooms, kitchen, all amenities, etc truly make the experience enjoyable. We even brought our 14 month old daughter and she did just fine. All decorations, utensils, hardware, etc our top of the line, AND beach items are provided in the hallway closet which was wonderful! John has provided a unit that we will always want to stay in and travel to knowing it will be the same as the previous year and probably even better. The Mana Kai is the perfect location for a visitor to Maui. The beach is literally out the condo door, there's a wonderful restaurant/lounge, a general store and town is a leisure walk away. I would recommend unit 807 to anyone looking for a rewarding, fulfilling, very memorable vacation. I, we, love it!!! We also very much so enjoyed the welcome basket from John and his family upon our arrival! Thank you John and we'll see you next time!

One of my Favorite Beaches and Places to Stay Ever                                     Rating: starstarstarstarstar 5 out of 5
We have been to the Mana Kai Maui-Top Floor condo, #807 several times. The condo is beautifully renovated, fully stocked with all beach gear and all the amenities for a relaxing stay, and the condo is managed by John J who goes beyond to make your stay perfect. Great place for families when renting both units. You are an elevator ride away from the most beautiful beach, great snorkeling where turtles play, a yummy restaurant with great happy hour deals, a nice kid friendly pool, and a general store with Hawaiian treats. We love this place and hope to go back for many years to come with our family.

Wow! Incredible!                                                                                              Rating: starstarstarstarstar 5 out of 5
We've been staying at the Mana Kai Maui Resort for over 20 years, but this is the first time we've stayed in this particular unit. Believe me not all units are the same. This one, perched on the top floor, is the
best one yet! The interior renovation is simply stunning!! We will come back every year. Thanks so much for your hospitality. I can't imagine a better place to relax and get away from it all.

Honeymoon in PARADISE!                                                                               Rating: starstarstarstarstar 5 out of 5
We spent 7 days here for our honeymoon. This condo is absolutely amazing. Excellent view off the lanai of Molokini Crater. Ocean waves and breeze put us to sleep every night. Close to scuba diving, luau, and shopping at Marriott Resort. Dinner at the Five Palms restaurant in the lower level was perfect! Beach equipment supplied as well as a cooler for road to Hana. Laundry for the top floor is right outside of condo in the hall. Parking spot for this condo is directly in front of the lobby entrance which proved helpful for carrying groceries. Close proximity to ocean front strip for shopping. Grocery store is only a few minutes down the road. Do not hesitate, book this condo NOW!

Perfect Location                                                                                               Rating: starstarstarstarstar 5 out of 5
We spent 6 nights in October 2009 in this beautiful condo. The condo (top floor unit) offers great ocean view, especially from the lanai. The sunsets were spectacular! The condo is very quiet at night (you only hear the ocean) and we slept very well. Also, the grounds of the Mana Kai are great and well maintained and you have direct access to the beach. This condo is definitely our Nr. 1 choice on Maui!!!

Top Floor at the Mana Kai                                                                               Rating: starstarstarstarstar 5 out of 5
My husband and I spent the most relaxing 10 days on the top of the world at the Mana Kai! The condo was well laid out, beautifully decorated and had all the amenities needed to have a great stay. The store on site was well stocked so we didn't have to leave paradise if we didn't want to! When we weren't out enjoying the beach or town, we were on the balcony drinking in the gorgeous view. The Mana Kai's grounds and pool were immaculate and we had easy, immediate access to the beach. The sunsets each night were spectacular! We simply can't wait to get back to the little piece of heaven that is #807 Mana Kai Maui!

Stay in Paradise                                                                                               Rating: starstarstarstarstar 5 out of 5
We have stayed in the Mana Kai Resort Unit #807 four times. We keep going back because of the great view, wonderful facilities ( pool, deli, oceanfront restaurant, activities desk, hair salon as well as the feeling that once we open the door #807 feels like home. It is fully renovated, upgraded and very comfortable.

This is THE place to stay!                                                                                Rating: starstarstarstarstar 5 out of 5
The Mana Kai Maui Resort had been highly recommended to me for several years from family members and friends. I had the lucky opportunity to stay at John's top floor home; and let me tell you, this is the place to stay!  This condo is beautifully and comfortably furnished with an incredible unobstructed view of Molokini and miles of the most unpopulated beach in Hawaii. You can sit on the lanai and enjoy breakfast while overlooking Maui's best view because you are litreally just above the beach.  The Mana Kai is home to the Five Palms restaurant, a 5 star dining experience with a fabulous menu. It also has a great little grocery store next to the lobby that provides almost everything you need if you decide to never leave.  I have stayed in several other places in the Kihei/Wailea area throught the years but I have to say that John's place at the Mana Kai is by far my favorite!

Our stay in Unit 807 in Mana Kai Maui was wonderful. It had the most spectacular sunset view. We were able to enjoy wonderful morning walks on the best beaches on Maui. The accommodations were clean and comfortable. The owner provided many helpful recommendations and a delicious fruit basket. We felt so welcomed and hope to return soon.

Paradise vacation with the comfort of home right there!                                    Rating: starstarstarstarstar 5 out of 5
I stayed in John's wonderful condo home on Maui and didn't ever want to go home. You couldn't get closer to the beautiful beach than there. Just go down to the lobby and step out on a beach that goes on for miles. This was the 2nd time I stayed there and brought my kids this time. They couldn't get over the fact that you look out over this beautiful beach from your balcony. My son loved the snorkeling right out in front. Every convenience is in this condo as well as a small store and great restaurant downstairs. I liked best the fact that when you wake up in the morning you can hear the birds, the surf and look out a wall of windows at the palm trees, beach and other islands of Hawaii from your bed. The only thing I liked least is the fact that you must drive to the store for groceries. Oh well!
